The Saudi Jiu-Jitsu federation (SJJF) is the National Governing Body for the Sport of Jiujitsu in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). Its principal activities are the developing and overseeing of the sport, spreading Jiu-Jitsu throughout the Kingdom at every level, from school programs to military training, and establishing Saudi Arabia as a dominant force on the competitive international landscape. Furthermore, the Federation is a member of the Jiu-Jitsu International Federation. The Federation was established in 2017 and is recognized by the Olympic committee of Saudi Arabia and the Asian council. SJJF is a membership organization that has expanded its network of clubs, qualified coaches and individual members throughout the KSA, but is poised for much greater success and expansion in the coming years. Our plan will shape the Federation’s relationships with local Jiu-Jitsu organizations and other stakeholders such as local Sports Councils, the GSA, Saudi Paralympic Association, KSA Olympic council Anti-Doping, and the Saudi Commission.

A progressive and future-focused strategic plan establishes a sound basis for the future growth of the sport and organization in the Kingdom. Thus, a foundation created through a holistic effort toward a world-leading Jiu-Jitsu movement to rival that of any other nation. Our plan is intended to showcase the priorities and goals for each of the Kingdom’s participation, expansion, and skill development plans within the organizational strategy. These objectives convey that while the sport has an impressive array of programs throughout the KSA, there is a coherent and comprehensive plan for the sport of Jiu-Jitsu to flourish.

Additionally, the strategic plan is overseen and held by the Board of Directors. The Board concisely agrees to the mission, vision, goals, and strategies, and delegates the responsibility of the strategy and delivery thereof to the president. The president will thus ensure that the senior executive team establishes operational delivery plans, action plans, analyses, and KPO’s to realize the aims of the strategic plan and remains in constant contact with the Board as to the progress of the strategy. Furthermore, the senior executive team will align their department’s personnel structures, short and long-term business plans, target setting, and performance reviews to achieve the strategic plan. The senior executive team is also mandated to increase effectiveness and create efficient practices through knowledge exchange processes to develop ways of collaborative working across departments and staff.

The aims of this strategic plan are transformative, going into the very fabric of the Kingdom to create the world’s finest Jiu-Jitsu program for a stronger, mentally healthier society with character-building structures like no other.”
